4.1 Student's Perspective.

  1. Help students achieve fluency in basic language and definitions of physics.
  2. Provide rapid feedback so students know whether they have mastered the basic material or not.
  3. Allow students to try exercises over again until they get them right.
  4. Guide students through more complex problems in easy, gentle steps, at least at first.
  5. Challenge students to apply the basics to more complex, multi-step problems.
  6. Add dynamic content to homework to help students associate the static equations with actual physical motion.
  7. Challenge students to read ahead and think about material before coming to class.
  8. Challenge students to express physics concepts in their own words, not just equations.
